It's safe to say the members of the Tim Stop Trio—songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, and pianist Tim Stopulos, guitarist Michael Tahlier, bassist Seville Lilly, and drummer Justin Hooks, could not afford to move anywhere in the world following their debut's success.
“Our whole goal right now is to just play as much as possible and make the best music we possibly can”, Tim stated. And that is what they are doing, spending the majority of their time on the road. Two years, a couple of Midwest tours, two self produced albums, a self produced music video and some album sales later, Tim Stop Trio are doing everything they can to put themselves on the map.
Along with tracks from their last album "The Long Drive Home", TS3's live set includes an extensive amount of new material (including fan-favorite 'Professional'). When asked why a new album hasn't been recorded, given the amount of new songs, Tim explains "I don't want to record just to record. I want to record because all the new songs have been proven live, and are exactly where they need to be. When that moment comes, we'll get in the studio. Being independent, we have the unique opportunity to wait for the right time."
Although fans will have to wait for that forthcoming new album, which is being called "Songs of Separation", they can still catch the Tim Stop Trio live to hear their new music, and to see firsthand how their songs are developed onstage.
